The Other Path ( letter)
I'm writing for everyone who has felt the calling from the Other Path. My name is Wise Wind, and I have always sensed foreign forces trying to manifest through me. In order to understand them I followed the teachings from the shamans. They couldn't answer my questions, for those spirits were tangible, unlike the ones they knew. But I managed to get in peace with them and welcomed them inside myself.
Three years ago answers about the Other Path reached me, coming from science. I saw what had entered into my body from a different light. I also understood it could also happen to more human beings, and they could be in danger if they didn't learn to coexist with it.
So I started a long journey all around the world, looking for my new kind, the Lonely Walkers of the Path. I found more of them than I had thought, and not every one of them was willing to hear me.
Some of them tried to hide their condition for fear or shame. Others, as I had done before, searched for a way to control it; a few of them had already embraced it. But what we had in common was a transcending urge to find our kind, even when bloodlust was often hidden behind it.
I don't intend to be anyone's leader. My only wish is to lend you this advice: we should gather to share our wisdom and learn from each other's experiences, so we can clear the mist covering the Other Path and stop walking it in solitude.

From my research, I have understood the truth behind the Lonely Walkers. Each one of our kind was gifted in his birth with the Other Path. In each case, it's a compilation of the essences of a great family of animal ancestors. Strong emotions can release them through the body, turning it into a conjoined monster without control. But the right amount of mental, spiritual and physical training allows to harness their power and to choose between their traits to become their walking avatar.
But why did we get gifted with it? Is there a purpose for us?
